So why are local councils like Armidale, Glen Innes Severn and Byron supporting demolition of the rails, sleepers and other infrastructre for on-formation cycling+walking trails?
And why do these dinosaur councils still use the term “rail trails” when they have sold off the valuable, re-useable steel rails for scrap metal value? Their policy is no rails! So please don’t ever use the term “rail trails” if the rail infrastructure has had to be demolished for the sake of their cycling lobby!
