Do we want more huge diesel fueled trucks on our highways, or modern rail freight on the GNR line through Armidale?

Wouldn’t it be better to see less heavy B-double trucks on the A15 New England Highway and double stacked containers on a re-activated, upgraded GNR line, moving freight from New England to ports and major cities throughout Australia?

The value of freight originating outside New England, but shifting between NSW and QLD, via Armidale, now that the Inland Rail project has been terminated at Parkes, has huge potential

for the New England economy,
for the NSW economy,
and for the Australian economy

New England Network is now in discussion with potential partners in Europe and Asia, for an unsolicited bid NSW and/or Australian Governments, to design, construct, commission and possibly operate, on a non-exclusive basis, rail freight services through New England on the dormant GNR line and integrated with the national freight network managed by ARTC.
